However, the visuals and the whole style of Little Nightmares has a very Tim Burton kind of feel to it. The Maw is a fantastic place well it is horrible, but you know what I mean and the game has some of the most grotesque and off-putting creatures around. There are these chefs in particular that creeped the hell out of me. The game makes great use of lighting and it is amazing at how scary a world they were able to create in 2D.

The soundtrack of the game does its job and it does it well. It fits in with the creepy visuals perfectly. Again, the soundtrack sounds like something that would have been in a Tim Burton movie and I mean that as a compliment. The gameplay of Little Nightmares is quite interesting. You need to sneak around, solve puzzles, do a bit of platforming, and most importantly of all, avoid the creatures that want you dead! You always know where they are and it is the fear of getting caught that keeps you on your toes.

None of the game is too cryptic, but there are some parts that are trial and error as you will die first time, before you even know what is happening. This is not that bad, but sometimes the platforming can be a tad off and the checkpoints can be pretty far spread out. Overall, the gameplay is fine and it most certainly is a scary game. I liked how it was not reliant on jump scares, it was quite clever.
