I have not made any hardware changes and the only software I have put on it are games that shouldn't cause any problems and all Windows XP updates. As of the last six months I have installed nothing. Recently, last couple of months, I have been experiencing problems with GW when mixing the contents of one file into another.
I am getting the following error message: Access violation at: address in module 'Goldwave. Read of address A. Once I close this error box and click on anything inside of GW, it stops responding and I have to close it down and reopen.
The error is also random as well so I have to repeatedly save my file before going on to the next process which is time consuming. This happens when mixing both.

Thanks for the info. Turns out this file will not play in Windows Media Player. I spent hours trying to make it work. Even called them on the phone, and they had no idea. It makes a change to your Windows Vista visual effects settings that I do not like. Plus it screws up bookmarks when you bookmark while paused which ruins all bookmarks for that chapter. It works like a charm btw.
